The Onslow Gardens Residents Association is an active group of local residents who represent the larger community that make up OGRES. The Association incorporates over 500 households, of which over 400 are paid up members of the association. The committee is made up of a chairperson, vice-chair, secretary, treasurer, subscriptions officer, non-office holding committee members and road reps. Our 2011 AGM was held at 8.00pm in July 18th in the Wallington Public Hall, Woodcote Room. Our Guest speaker was our Local MP, Tom Brake who updated us on local developments and his activities and we received a written report from Sgt Peter LeShirley from the local Safer Neighbourhood Team. The subscription year runs in line with the Associations financial year. The subscription drive is now underway and committee members will be starting collections soon. Annual fees are £1 per household. The money collected from subscriptions is used to benefit the residents including such things as: * producing and distributing the quarterly newsletter Community Forums Members of the committee attend various council held forums which include, * Sutton Neighbourhood Watch Association These forums are public meetings, if you would like to attend please contact a member of the committee who can give you meeting dates and times. |
